Sword Players: Introduction to Fencing
Calling all Knights and Damsels!
The history of fencing is as old as mankind. When a clever opponent blocked the swing of a club, fencing was born. The evolution of fencing from the club to electric foil took many centuries and eventually became a competitive individual and team sport that anyone can participate in. It's open to everyone who welcomes a challenge - both mental and physical.
Improved coordination, great cardiovascular fitness, sharpened reflexes, muscle tone, poise, and confidence all develop quickly with a good fencing program.
So...join us as we partake in this classic French-European sport. Bring plenty of water, a pair of indoor shoes and sweat pants. We will provide all the necessary fencing equipment for this beginner class. A grand prize for the fencer du jour included.
